In order to increase the usability of the Mind Mapping Diagram, there are enhancements on it in Visual Paradigm Suite 3.3. This article discusses what are enhanced in Mind Mapping Diagram.

Mind Mapping Diagram is available in Visual Paradigm for UML (VP-UML) Enterprise Edition, Smart Development Environment (SDE) Enterprise Edition and Agilian Standard Edition. It is helpful for organizing concepts and ideas through a visual note-taking way. Mind Mapping Diagram can be used to make business decisions, prepare meeting agenda or any aspects in our life that require effective thinking. With the use of a networked form, ideas can be developed precise ideas much easier.

Below are the enhancements on the Mind Mapping Diagram:

Switch Source Node

We enhanced the selection detection on the nodes, providing a new functionality to move a branch of idea nodes from the original source node to another node.

1. Click on the triangle area of the node head (clicking on the remaining area of the node and dragging can only change the position of the node)
   

   

2. Drag the node to overlap with the targeted source node.

   

3. Now the whole branch of nodes is moved to the targeted node.

   

Align Node Texts Towards Central Idea

In order to have a better visual representation of the idea development, all the texts in idea nodes are aligned towards the Central Idea:
