In Sequence Diagram, you can create duration message indicating the passage of time. In Visual Paradigm Suite 3.3, you are able to add duration and time constraint on the duration message. In this article, we will introduce this enhancement in Sequence Diagram in VP Suite 3.3.

Here we have a Sequence Diagram with a duration message between two objects. Below we will show you how to add the duration constraint and the time constraint on a duration message:

Adding Duration Constraint

1. Click Duration Constraint in the diagram toolbar.

   

2. Click once on the target duration message to add the constraint.

   

3. Enter the constraint detail inside the caption.

   

4. You can change the position of the Duration Constraint simply by dragging.

   

Adding Time Constraint

1. Click Time Constraint in the diagram toolbar.

   

2. Click on the target duration message and the constraint.

   

3. Enter the constraint detail inside the caption.

   

4. You can change the position of the Time Constraint simply by dragging.
