In an organization chart, you can relocate a branch of units by pressing on the root of that branch, drag and move it to another branch. This facilitates a mass movement of units without damaging the structure.
When drawing an organization chart, you often find there is a need to restructure the hierarchy of an unit. That is, move a unit and all its subordinates from existing parent to a different parent. Now you can simply do this by drag and drop. Relocating a Branch of Units
We have an organization chart as shown below, and we want to move "Supervistor Kitty" branch under "Board of Directors".
Drag "Supervistor Kitty" all the way to "Board of Directors". When the mouse cursor moves over a unit, the unit being dragged and all its subordinates will be snapped under that particular unit.
Release the mouse button. The branch of "Supervisor Kitty" is moved under "Board of Directors", and the overlapped units are shifted to make room for the moved branch.
